Salvation
What is Salvation? Salvation is being born again. Jesus spoke concerning this in John 3:1-8. Salvation
is the spiritual and eternal deliverance granted by God to those who accept his condition of
repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus.
Salvation takes place when one confesses with their mouth and believes in their heart that Jesus died
for their sins and rose from the dead (Read Romans 10:9-10).
Baptism
What is Baptism? Water Baptism is an outward sign and testimony of our receiving Christ as Lord and
Savior and of the washing away of our sins. Read Acts 2:38
Water baptism accompanied the proclamation of the gospel from the beginning of the church's
mission(Acts 2:38,41. It was a rite of Christian initiation used in the N.T. to indicate that a person was
committing himself or herself fully to Jesus Christ. Acts 19:5, Acts 22:16 and Matt 28:19.
